The Moroccan Pension Fund holds its Board of Directors

The Moroccan Pension Fund (CMR) held its Board of Directors on Monday, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah.

In her opening speech, Ms. Fettah recalled that the government will continue to activate major projects and strategic projects, in particular the Royal project for the generalization of social protection, the CMR said in a press release.

The government will also continue its efforts to provide the necessary financial resources in collaboration with public organizations and enterprises, including the CMR through its indirect contribution to the financing of public investments, while respecting the principles of profitability, security and liquidity, said the minister.

Thus, she emphasized the coordination between the members of the Council and its bodies which contributes to the operational excellence of the CMR and the strengthening of its relations with partners and users, noting that this coordination resulted in by the very satisfactory results of the self-assessment of the Council’s work, thus confirming its operation in accordance with good governance practices, continues the same source.

The Council also welcomed the positive indicators recorded for the year 2023, in relation to the achievements of the CMR action plan and its commitments within the framework of the program contract concluded with the State, the completion rate will reach nearly 86% in 2023.

These results reflect the Caisse’s involvement in the implementation of strategic orientations in terms of modernizing the administration and improving services provided to citizens.

The Council also highlighted the measure recently taken by the institution, by definitively exempting all its pension beneficiaries from any life control process.

After studying the items on the agenda for this session, the Board of Directors approved the draft action plan and budget of the Fund for the year 2024 as well as all the draft decisions which were presented.
